How many students participate in the STARBASE CT program?
Approximately 1500 students annually.

How are the teachers chosen to participate in the program?
We supply a schedule of possible dates to the Board of Education of the
participating school districts and they chose which schools and which teachers will
attend the program.  

Are there any other STARBASE Academies?
Yes.  There are 60 academies in 33 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

How is STARBASE CT funded?
STARBASE CT is funded by the Department of Defense.

How does the STARBASE program benefit kids and the community?
Students who participate in the program make an average gain of 20 percent on
their math and science test scores. In addition, students have learned about values,
character and good choices. The STARBASE program meets state standards for
math and science curriculum and is designed to help augment what schools with
limited resources are able to offer students. The goal of the program is to help youth
overcome adversity and obtain jobs in the future.
